Source of the strawberries for the yearly Ventura County Strawberry Festival. Oxnard is home to the Oxnard Plain, a large coastal plain with high quality soils that produce high quality fruits and vegetables. Each year Oxnard hosts the Dallas Cowboys training camp, Tamale Festival, and Salsa Festival.
